Hello everybody!

I'm not quite sure this is in the right topic but since I'm looking for comments to improve the artwork, I guess it fits.

My team and I have been workin' on a gba project for about a year now and we now have something decent to show the world. The only problem is that, up until recently, I was the only artist on the team. And guess what? I had no experience at all with pixel art and never went to any art school.  So, I had to learn alot of things to get things going well. Since we're aiming for pro looking work, I'm looking for some talented artists to help me point out problems with the artwork so that I can polish it.

Currently, we have no website but I hope this is going to change pretty soon (I'm not in charge of that so I don't know ;)) And all I can show you are those screenshots. If you guys feel like you need more artwork, tell me, I'll post some more.

And by the way, this is what I call an evolution of a classic game named "Excitebike" on the nes and "Excitebike 64" on the n64. It uses the classic nes feel but with elements from other games plus new gameplay elements. I'm also a game designer on this project and I can assure you that this is not just another clone. It's a game of it's own using a common gameplay establishment ;)

These are all in-games screenshots. All artworks done by yours truly.

Go ahead. Bash me hard. Tear me apart. I need to get all the dirt on these so I can make them better. And like I said earlier, if those aren't enough, I'll show some more.

 Take care and thanks alot!

as a fan of excite bike for NES for many years (I still have mine), I can tell you that I'd probably buy this game if it ever gets published.

The screens look great!

I'm not a pro but I'd expect a some more dithering in the title screen to work better.

Hi Guert. Very very sweet looking game you've got going here. My advice after looking at the bmp's on your site are that you have a far few choppy pixels in there, for example the shrubby trees in picture number 6 on your site, the little pointy hill right near the biker in the 5th picture, etc. Just look out for choppy outlines or blocks of colour.

Also some of your texturing is superb, but some more surfaces could really benefit with your texturing touch. For example the wall in the picture with the crowd is very very plain, just look out for things like that. Best of luck with the project

Absolute awesome pics! I'd buy it. The races are the best looking pictures. I love the racers/bikers. And that boost bar's cool too.

It reminds me to get back to work on my game (that was a somewhat unrelated statement. Eh, who cares, I do need to get going on my game)

Someday I'll take over the world, just not today...

Hello there!

Eyecraft: Thanks for the crit! Yes, I will wtach for those blocks of colours indeed. And you're right about the wall behind the crowd is quite flat. I'll make sure to fix those problems! Thanks again!

Snader: Well, as for now, the game rotates the bike itself. It's not very beautiful but it works until we can get some time to actually draw the bike in all the major angles to make the rotation look good. So basically, the reason I didn't cleaned it up is because I can't since it's not a seperate sprite ;) Thanks for the comment!

Centrefuge: well, thanks alot for the nice words. I'll tell you if it ever comes out! ;) :D

Thanks again everyone and if anybody else wants to add something, go ahead! :D
Take care all!
