   Hello everyone,
 
I'm working on a personal project, and need some art.  So I decided to host a challenge, that I'll be doing either monthly or bi weekly.  The winner will get $20 and second place will get $5.  I know its not a ton of money, but its something that I'll be able to afford on a consistent basis and it'll make the challenge a little funner.  
 
By entering your submission, your agreeing to let me use your art in my project.  Any art that is used will be credited to the creator.  
 
So alright lets get started with this weeks challenge.

animated: optional
theme:  cute, evil, woodland creatures
 
This challenge will end on Nov 7th, and the winners will be paid via Paypal(if paypal doesn't work for you, we can still work something out)

	I'm working on a platform/sidescroller game, I've already created a couple simple platform games. And there is only so far I can get with stand-in art, so I'm looking to hold these challenges, to get multiple pieces of art, while trying to do something fun for the community thats backed up with a little bit of cash for everyones work. I figure if I can get a couple pieces of art together, I can work on different levels, and I can keep doing these monthly/biweekly contests until I finish. And if I can't use all of the art right away, doesn't mean that it wouldn't be right for something else down the road. All work that I decide to use will be given credit to the user.

	Does the all-too-famous slime count as a woodland creature?

	Not a bad slime, I might be able to find a use for it somewhere. Thanks for the entry. Also, just so you know, you can have more than one entry.

	This is not a competition. This is an attempt to obtain game assets for free disguised as a competition. Only 2 people will get any compensation at all for their work, everyone else creates assets for your game without any pay. If you want people to create artwork for your game go to the jobs section. A lack of money is not a reason to be exploititive - perhaps people will create something for you if you offer this for free in the jobs section. But do not come into the challenges section of the forum in order to decieve people into creating work for you for free. Besides, having a game full of art created by many different people would look weird. Anyway, I'm locking this. Feel free to post in the jobs forum.
