Pixel Joint Forum: Pixel artist for weekend game team-compo

   Hello, this is my first post to pixeljoint (though I've been lurking for a while as I love pixelart).

One of the biggest indie game compos, Ludum Dare, is having a team compo in about 1 week.

So basicly I'm checking if there's any pixelartist here who wants to make some pixelart over a weekend and have it come alive in a small game.

I've been doing quite some small games and game prototypes over the last years.

I'm actively devloping a game framework in Ruby: http://github.com/ippa/chingu

My last game finished (with quite some pixelgfx) was a team-effort with a friend: http://github.com/deps/Berzerk. Exe found @ www.ippa.se/berzerk.exe (20 meg download cause of music etc)

Just so you know I can hold up my part ;).

Anyhuuee.. the theme for the compo is yet to be announced, it might be a superlame theme which wont be fun entering in :p .. So for now I'm just checking if there's any interest at all.

	nobody? :) I won't take the whole weekend. When they release the theme we decide on a fun gameidea and finish it. I have a OpenGL trick we can use to automaticly in game resize sprites so 1 pixel becomes 2x2 (or 3x3 for that matter) for instant retro-feeling... mmm.. pixely...

	okey, Mini LD 14 is on: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2009/11/12/mini-ld-14-go/ The theme is "Commedy" and "Tragedy" .. can do both or one of them. Kind of hard theme, I haven't gotten any good ideas yet.. the theme seems to call for some kind of story. Anyone getting any ideas that could include some cool pixelgfx.. ? I've kind of reserved the weekend for this .. so I'm itching to start coding :P
