I was listening to "Blackout" by Muse when making this. Any suggestions?

Welp, I know very little about pixel art, as you know.

But I would suggest maybe adding a little more to the background, if you can, and maybe giving the band some shadows?  It looks like they're part of the background, although that could be what you were going for.

Very nice, though!  I really love the planet, it looks really cool.  Also very elegant notes.

I would make the background a tad lighter as I didn't even notice the band until Odinod talked about it and I went looking.

Also, I may have this wrong but I only count seven colors. Three planet colors, black, blue, purple, and dark purple in the background.

Cool, another color for the band. ;D
EDIT: Better?

Nice, but the challenge calls for someone listening to music

You may have some screen calibration problem too (or is it me?), I didn't see the band at all in the first version, the 2 darkest colors are almost undistinguishable to me.

You're saying when a band is playing a song, they're not listening to it? ;)

It may very well be my computer. It seems that my pixels themselves dither. It's hard to describe. Or it could be the fact that my computer is 32-bit, while my dad's laptop, which is 64-bit, doesn't seem to dither like that.

EDIT: Changed some dithering.
