It's a working title, but I like it so far. I don't even have a name for the hero yet, but yes I just started on this this week. The game revolves around a wonderfully mysterious set of canes owned by a wonderfully mysterious man. It's Steampunk/Exploration/Crafting for the most part. The guy:

Now you may wonder - where is his stylish backpack that he stores all his things in for his adventures? Well he owns a special top hat that acts like a bag of holding (D&D reference). So it's sort of like a magician's top hat. The pause menu and inventory system would be when he takes off his hat to look inside of it. Here:

The above is hastily pixeled together and is by no means a finished product, but that's the aim of this forum isn't it?
As for crafting - you find a set amount of limited materials used to construct different things - like save points (which are necessary or not depending on how often you want to save.) etc.
I suppose it could be Canes and Castles...maybe. What do you guys think of my stuff so far?
