Erm, hi all!
I tried to do my regular avatar in pixelart. Here is what I can call a semi-successful draft: ![]() ![]() The second image is merely an expanded "palette swap" of the monochrome attempt. Drawn in GIMP, because GrafX2 cannot display SVG lines above pixels. -.- Decided to try the Scientific Anti-Alias method by Ptoing I saw in Noobtorials (thanks for posting it there, cure!), so used the curves as the guidelines. This method appeared to be quite convenient with five colours. ![]() No tomfoolery, I assure you. =) It's just that I cannot imagine a better honest method of transforming vector art into pixelart, and I am no pen-and-paintbrush master. I'm still a bit puzzled about the AA quality, especially in the "stingtail" at the bottom of the symbol. Spent twenty minutes pushing and popping pixels there, but I still think there is something I missed. Could you give me some impressions of yours, please?
