So... this is the C17 Marauder Carbine, I made it for an universe that I'm creating. Yeah, I'm into worldbuiding. And I wanted to know if this animations is ok.

And here is another one static image of the carbine, with it's bayonet out. Is it ok, or I should/could add some metalic texture on it? I wanted it to look's like it was some sort of rustic future weapon. But as you can see I'm starting now in pixelart.

Yay, first post.

Im not much for these higher-detailed weapon arts (just not something I'm any good at lol) so I cant help you too much, but on the Bayonet it says "ejetable" instead of "ejectable", and that section designed to hold it inside the gun is shorter than the blade itself.

Edit: No I guess I'm wrong, it does fit if you include the front black area of the gun, but it does still look a tad strange to me. like the gun should be longer or the knife shorter.

And I dont think a bit of shading and metallic/plastic look would hurt. Looks a tad bland with just the flat colors.

<3 Worldbuilding.

I think it could be nicer, as Zeratanus said, with some metal/plastic shading.

Also the bayonet seems a bit odd on what seems to be reasonably short weapon.
(Mind, bayonets look odd to me on pretty much anything except muskets and the like. I mean, once you get more a efficient projectile weapon, the use of the bayonet wanes to the point where it would be more effective to carry a big knife/machete.)

@ekobor:
That makes a lot of sense. I'll work in the weapon, and I'll take out the bayonet. As I had thought of creating different models of this weapon, I could create a larger model adapted to a bayonet.

@Zeratanus:
I'm still in the beggining, this is far the third "real" piece of pixelart that I do, and I don't know how to do a metal/plastic shading. Can you direct me to some tutorials on shading or texture in pixelart?

I'm working on this weapon right now.

Try looking in the Noobtorials thread. I know I've seen an image in there that shows how to shade different materials. This would definitely benefit from some metal rendering. Also, depending on what you're drawing this for, I would shrink the size by half maybe. But of course, its up to you
