Yea so I've only been using mspaint.  I seriously JUST read the tutorials about pixel art (I only found out about the site today, I've been drawing in paint for a few months now?) and I've seen I'm doing a lot of the no-nos like not pillowshading, no aa, inconsistent light sources and things like that.  Not that I'm good enough to identify every example of them in my work. . .

Any suggestions are welcome.

I'd also appreciate any tips on animating.  Do you need to draw in GraphicsGale (for example) to make use of all of the animation techniques?
