This needs a lot of work. I'm having trouble working with the skin color, any pallet suggestions :)?

Awwwnn, I love him <3, I have a keyring similar to the reference you posted.

Colors are always influenced by their neighbors, so the skin looks to pale and unsaturated when you compare it to the hat, maybe that's your problem, I'm not good making palettes so I can't really help you there, but you may be able to figure it yourself with that in mind.

And keep going <3 I already love him :D
