I am not used to post wip here, but I was kinda rested lately seeing how fast and frequently I am doing pixels lately... Im really newb compered with most ppl here, but I am really trying xD
Well, I am working on a remake of that old piece here to see how much I improved: http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/016/2/f/Woman_Knight_by_Tioluko.png How its going for now: ![]() Thats being harder than I spected >.< Im scared of doing the armor xD Edited by TioLuko - 20 January 2012 at 2:50pm |

proportions are odd. torso is very short. shoulders are two square, the transition between the deltoid and trapezius muscles is not quite so rigid. trapezius muscles seem absent entirely. breasts might be just a little bit high. thighs are pretty scrawny neck is long, face is large.

I agree with Cure on the missing trapezius muscles and that the breasts are a bit high, but other than that I enjoy the elongated limbs. In Cure's edit the woman seems a lot stumpier and I say that the long, skinny limbs and neck relate to an anime/manga style, which I assume is what you're going for based on what you've done so far and the eyes in v1.

Thank you very much Cure and Lathien, that was kinda useful.
I tried to follow those tips, and really had an hard time... xD Cure pic is correct and totally realistic, but i'll keep porpotions because the intent here is to have some anime/manga aspect. Well the current result is here (only the clean base here, because the current pic that I am working is messy as hell xD) And...the breasts can go down a bit more I guess... ![]() By real problem now is to think an nice way to work on an metal texture. Any tips, critiques, and stones are appreciated :3 Edited by TioLuko - 29 January 2012 at 2:43pm |

The new head looks kinda like an infant's head, massive cranium, rounded forehead, chubby cheeks those are features of a baby's head. Eyebrows looks a bit misaligned also.

Since skin tone is split in two (lightened / shadowed) you should do the same for armor, *before* applying the extra shadows and shining counter-reflections. I just notice you mostly did it on the chestplate and raised arm, but the other arm at the moment looks more generically "one side lightened and the other one darkened"
