its really only world of warcraft that has those type of shoulder pads, most real shoulder pads provide a bit more protection - and i also think fuller shoulder pads would go a long way to make the upper body seem more full. because your boots are huge and your pads are tiny.

Yeah, maybe they should be bigger. I made them for decoration though...

You meant the player char. Those are for decoration too, not to mean for protection. And games aren't really know for realistic armors.

im just saying that what jalonso pointed out by saying you should make bigger shoulders, while you seem reluctant to do so..So all im saying is that you could improvise its look by making the pauldrons a bit bigger, yes i am talking about the guard

Made a rough edit.

I think you should change the outline colour a-bit, and might even add another colour to the hair it self.
I also think that you should make the chin a bit differently, make the nose a bit wider(I guess) from the side like I've done on my edit. Perhaps make sort kind of an eyelash and make the upper lip more visible.
Basically make her look more feminine.
And another thing, is the shoulder, I honestly think you've made it too close to the neck, in my opinion.

Oh, and I wasn't quite sure what did the blue colour you added on her hat was supposed to be, just added it there. =P

Awesome :D I'm glad this isnt dead Relix. Its come such a wonderfully long way since the first post. Anyway, I've gone through and done another face edit too, in case you wanted more feedback~



Gave her a chin, first of all, and the hat kinda looks like a green blob on her head as it is now. I changed the shading on it to give it a bit more form, and edited the line it rests on the head.

Added a few more details in the eye to make it seem a bit more wet and alive. Pulled the ear in closer, and with it the back of the head and the neck.

The ponytail is now being mostly cut off by the box, but I think it makes it look more like the sprite. The current portrait hair is kinda limp but the game sprite its much more shapely. The hair strands on the face I also curved. Looks a bit more natural IMO

Also moved the shoulder around a bit, added some of the blue from her other clothing, and the far soulder

Few other things here and there, such as the nose and mouth shading.

However, for all that, I think she looks feminine enough as she is now:B



So by "Game Stuff" do you mean actual coding?

Didn't want to change the mugshot too much, as I like it like this. I tried to edit the jaw, but it just made it look too manly.

Changed the castle door, it needs a few tweaks to make it more wood like. Changed few tiles in the tower/higher wall. The shading might be a bit wonky, hard to make it with 16x16 tiles without creating too many unique tiles.

Changed positions of some HUD stuff and took the frame from the weapon icon away.

Nope, most of the code is done. I'm starting to build the actual levels and stuff. Or, if you count writing event and AI scripts as coding, then I still have some coding to do.
