The fountain is supposed to be made of a really shiny metal but I'm not sure how to make it look as such..
First of all
I used the font from this deviant-art piece. http://bo-mccravy.deviantart.com/favourites/#/d2m09h8
I also used a pattern from this website.

From left to right.. An absinthe fountain. An absinthe glass. An absinthe spoon. An absinthe bottle.
Please give me any tips on shaddowing the glass , the spoon, the bottle or the fountain. Also any tips for making the face of the fountain more detailed.. or for anything else you think the pic could use. thankyou

nice forms/outlines. you should begin by working from reference.

i find that high detail glass or metallic shading is easiest to accomplish if you find something with the kind of sheen you want, colour reduce it in photoshop so you can see the shapes and patterns of the light shining off of it and then try to copy it. It takes a lot of patience and dithering but it is doable.

If you've any questions on how to do that, just ask and i'll help you out.

Good luck

I don't see that dithering would be necessary, as a rule I would probably avoid it unless it's unavoidable. Dithering is discussed in this section of the pixel art tutorial.

Well, what i meant is a lot of blending and mashing of pixels until it looks like a believable sheen. Dithering was probably the wrong word to use, i apologize.

Just colour reduce a picture of some similar object, try to copy the blobs of light and then refine it by mashing the pixels together.

Have a go first and see what comes out of it.
