Pixel Joint Forum: bug and sword

Message

Here is bug and sword in all its glory. You may recognise this from the my site though its still a wip because a couple of guys want me to do a background for it. got as far as the stones and lost interest. Please rekindle my inspiration. 
Any ideas?

	you need some shiny blood dripping from the bugand perhaps a trail of blood leading down the ground. Maybe expand the scene and show the killer as being a medivel exterminator and then you could have a million bugs in the background comig for him

	Pixelblink's suggestions are cool, but I don't know how much work Akira wants to put in. The stones do help. This is a great start Akira... rekindle your interest damnit.

	Bugs in the distance seems cool. I prolly won't put any more animate beings in (except poss. more bugs) so what's the in thing for scenary? Edit: So no one noticed the lack of shadow on the rocks? I'll fix that next edit. Edited by Akira

	Depends on how big a background you want. I think it looks fine like that :) You could have some big destroyed/burnt hive-like thing, where the bugs supposedly came from. Or you could do something more abstract, like coat of arms - it may make a nice contrast, but maybe it wouldn't stick together very well. Or, just a fire ? (like, a campfire in the woods at night) (hords of bug would be nice, but in all logic the guy would only plant his sword like that in the ground if he didn't need it any more - for example if he just exterminated the hive, or if he was just camping and some bug camed over to, well, bug him)
