Key things I want advice on for now:

-Anatomy, especially the hands right now. It is hard working with them at this size and angle.

-Shading, I don't know if I could do better in certain areas or not.

Go ahead and tell me if you found something else that needs attention or could be changed for the better. I'm just working with the basics right now; so, several things are going to be changed like her costume and such.

I'm surprised no one has replied to this. I really dig it. Very clean. I really like the simple shading style - reminds me of Street Fighter Alpha.

I don't really have the anatomical knowledge or artistic talent to provide much of a critique... But I'd say that the hands just seem kind of undefined. I can't exactly tell the position of the thumbs/fingers. Are they bent? Are they fully extended? It doesn't look like they're balled up into fists, but it also doesn't look like they're fully extended. Are they bent at the middle knuckles? I think if you intend to animate it, you could more explicitly imply what the hands are doing.

The character also seems a bit androgynous, which is fine if that's what you're going for. If it is intended to be a woman, which is my assumption, it does kind of look like she's packing something in the shorts. Which is, again, fine if intended.

You could maybe add a "shine" effect on the hair?

The shading style was inspired by 2d fighting games.

The hands are extended and the one in the foreground is supposed to be pointing more towards the viewer.  But yea, I can hardly read them myself.
Changed them somewhat for now.

Oops. There was one minor version of her that I dismissed because of the exaggerated form the shading gave. It is the last one in the picture below.

I'll add that a bit later.

Some basic clothing tests and a single edit I did. I want to replace the black outline with some replacement colors.

Like your accurate and pricise lineart, interesting dynamic pose and decent color choice. Though there's one detail... khm... If this is a girl imo there's too much between her legs. I mean it looks like she have balls...

More noticeable than just the hands is probably the head -- the anatomy is way out of whack there, and even then it's somewhat out of perspective.

Keep in mind my edit is still far from being perfect (I'm not (yet) well versed with anatomy), but it goes to show what the main problem is.

Minor update. Hands look better but I'm not completely satisfied.

@Ashbad:
I'll check into that.

@Ashbad Well the head is tilted back so the the appearance of the forehead is minimized like in the original image.

Yeah, something does look wrong with her head. The problem might be a combination of size and proportion.

Here are some variations I made. They are not polished and there is only a few. But, to you, which one looks better for now?

#6 is definitely an improvement and reads as being somewhat tilted back (which I realize now was the original intent -- however, the original head you made just looked squished, hence why it didn't read as tilted.) There's still something off about it I can seem to wrap my head around (had I computer access right now, I could play around with it to figure it out better, but alas I don't); I would guess that it could be one of two things: the chin should be foreshortened and tilted back more to give a better illusion of overall head tilt, or the head is slightly too small. Or both. Or neither! But from a quick observation, those are the two possibilities I can deduce. Either way though, #6 is a good, defining edit.

Edit: also noticed that in #6 you slightly enlarged the neck -- that was definitely a subtle, but beneficial modification.

Very nice. I like 6 too but the eyes on 2 read best to me.
