   CHALLENGE: Fooled You
It's April Fools' Day; so, for this week, we want you to come up with an  image that looks innocent/cute from the preview but actually turns out  to be something scary/creepy/unexpected . The preview image must be  taken directly from part of the actual image.

Canvas Size - Unrestricted.

Colours - Max 32.

Transparency - No.

Animation - No.
CHALLENGE RULES
Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
Only new pixels allowed.
Open to all members.
Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.
CHALLENGE JUDGING
Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES
Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
No matter what happens you get challenged :)

	What I have so far, not sure if I should add highlights? and the preview Also, I wanted to added AA to the outline but I also would have preferred if the background was white. Would it be alright if I had a white background instead of a transparent one? :)

I just had it in my head that PJ prefers transparency over everything because i've seen it on comments of peoples work tons. Never really fully absorbed that part of the rules. 	Is the challenge to create something unexpected or does it have to appear cute and then be scary? Could an entry look scary and turn out to be harmless?

	Progress :) Background definitely not final: Not sure if I should make the main bulk of the fur colour darker so the highlights stand out more.

	I could use a bit of advice on mine. (Hearts with plasma swords and torches hunting people) I'm thinking of having a burning village in the background, but my pallet is very un-unified... I still have 9 colors left. I don't know if I like the texture on the hills, but when I went with actual blades of grass I liked it less. I'll probably add clouds and adjust the way I'm shading the sky.

	my first thought was also to draw some cute animal turning into a horrible creature, but i wanted to try something that's i guess a little more of a stretch. the preview image would be the two holding hands. my main concern being the fact that without viewing the whole image, it doesn't really look like hand-holding Edited by pmoth - 05 April 2013 at 3:56pm

While the hill texture may use some rework with grassy effects, I think this palette is consistent within itself. You'll probably use the remaining colors on the burning village anyways.

You do have a tough choice here with a preview and while its already in the challenge the preview is not strong :(... Could one of the characters shirt have a cute image on it?
