I have a new idea for a game and I would like the help of programmer to see this through with me. I don't have a solid name for it yet, but it's about a traveling merchant who lives inside a (bigger on the inside) treasure chest/robot thing.

There would be a central town on a large square map with various residences sprinkled around.
The goal of the game would be to sell items to different npcs which you meet around the land by finding or making items through a crafting interface.
A story/plot would gradually be uncovered by taking different quests to find rare items in hard to reach areas which certain npcs will pay high prices for. What the story is exactly is something the two of us can brainstorm about together. :)
The player would also be able to beat up monsters with the robo chests fighting skill as well as possible magic skills of the merchant guy. Monsters would drop crafting items enabling you to make more items to sell.

Of course there's no money in this until we make a finished product, so it's more of a hobbyist thing to work on in your free time. And please don't ask me to learn programming myself. I've tried several times and I just end up with headaches because I suck at math.
