Something made after this (or any) challenge started.
This week, for example, a Joker started a while ago that you never finished or one that was already made before the challenge started would be uncool to submit.

A WIP, I was motivated by a video I saw recently where traditional shadow puppetry was used to tell the story of Star Wars, a way to re-engage kids in traditional mediums.

So I thought I would try at a Chinese Opera version of Batman. The Joker is based off of the Chou persona, which are the comedic roles in Beijing opera.

The hat looks a cut off in the portrait b/c I was working in a 64x64 frame.

Any C+C? I'm not sure exactly how to go about the beard. But I want to incorporate that Joker Green color. Looks odd now..

haha yah, good example. I was thinking something like this. I changed the sprite to be more of a top-down view. Still haven't figured out the colors though on the sprite. And portrait needs a lot of work.

哈哈哈! = Ha Ha Ha! (lol)

Also I was wondering what are the rules on the preview of a challenge submission. I see that many people upload a 2x or 3x version, and if you even just add a simple banner that says "Preview" or Click, it is likely to exceed 32x32.

For a fun idea, I thought I might use the preview as a way to show off the animation. Also adding a portrait would go a long way to guiding the viewer's imagination when looking at a sprite where we aren't familiar with the character.

In the detail image, I would of course only upload a 32x32 of the sprite.

There are no rules for previews other than they be pixelart too which includes type.

Previews can be different in every way, including size, to the art but should relate to it somehow.

Previews should entice others to click and enjoy, rate, study, comment, fave, etc.

Just remember that previews over 10k do not show in the front page . New art, WS and HoF. They will show everywhere else.

Be creative :)

Awesome, thank you for the reply! That is good to know, and looking forward to putting that creative freedom to use! (Under 10kb of course!)
