What am I seeing, what are the hexagons in the background? Is she a hologram or is she being lit from the top and the bottom at the same time?

The top light stands out in a really weird way, where does it come from and what color does it have? How did the red helmet get so extremely red in this light? Where is the green rim light on the gun coming from?

As for the UI: I would give the text less contrast so there is more priority on the image. Will the image change depending on the settings? That's a nice way to summarize all settings without having to glance over every subject.
