I want to start animating this, so I wanted to get some feedback. Thanks!

It doesn't read like fly. More like an elephant kid with sleep blinds. Also, flies don't have antennae - they are not bees or ants.

Regarding pixelart rendering, there are some nasty banding on sleep blinds's girdle. I like the palette though, although it could be more exciting, i.e. include different shades, like more bluish/violet dark, instead of plain gray.

I tried rading up on banding and I am not sure exactly what it is or how to fix it in my case here for example. Can you or someone else help me with this?

see "fat pixels" there. The fix depends on the artwork. In your case it needs antialiasing.

Alright, that is using pixels of different shades in the edges of the lines right? I am sorry if this sounds dumb. I know what anti-aliasing is but I want to make sure how it is done in specific cases. I wish that tutorial had examples of how to fix those problems in every case.

That's good one aiat_gamer!
But be careful animating a similar "dark" color area such as the body, arm, legs.
I suggest shift the color a little bit, so people can have a clearer sight of the body parts when moving :D

Thanks! I actually had a hard time picking out the colors for the base and the shade. I will probably try out different color shifts to make things a bit clearer.
