So, I tried to draw two pieces of old parchment.
I can't say if it is too noisy or not.

Do you have some tips or general criticism of the concept?

Hi Aureus
It looks mostly alright to me. What is the context of these, where would you use them on what kind of background?

The outline seems a bit harsh, I would imagine these things being thin and having worn edges, which means nearly no outline I think...
Also, the person who wrote on those things did not know how to make a nice layout, but that's perhaps a sign of its age...

Rather than having random darker and lighter places, darker top and bottom, maybe give the paper a bit of a curl or folds?

Thank you for taking a look! I'm afraid these pages were held in terrible conditions, hence the level of damage received. I want them to just illustrate a text that the player will receive in a friendlier form. Sort of like "you found an old letter!".

Here is the page I was inspired by.

And another project from the same shelf - a wax tablet:

Agreed with Hapiel, I think the outline color can be toned down a little, giving it more smooth transition with the paper.
Also I think having bolder color on paper texture is better, at quick glance, looks like only 2 color is used :)
