Working from photographic reference, the two hardest challenges with this portrait have been the subtle curve of her lip and her open left eye. Nevertheless, I'm getting quite happy with it — definitely feel like she's recognisable despite the low resolution! 

The hair is quite flat (like my own avatar) but I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to add depth. I'd appreciate any pointers there. 

Once I'm happy with the values and details I think I'll add a splash of red to her lips.

	Eyes look closed. Like the character is sitting asleep at some boring event.
