I just started trying to make a space ship rotation view. But There are some things that do not click for me yet. Anyway, how can I make it better?

Also made this earth elemental and was wondering witch color pallete looks better. (Also would apreciate some feedback about how to get better. :D)

I did a quick edit on your ship:


I drew a front view, and rotated that one. From there you can see where some elements need to be placed (red lines) so you don't have to guess. I rescaled your ship , and then added a bit of shading and clean up as a suggestion.
Oh and I doubled the animation speed.

Damn, you shading is much better, and I can see I have a lot to improve. Thank you a lot for the exemple, really helped.
