I am wondering if I can get some help on the face and maybe some help on how I can shade the back of the dog.

It is anatomically incorrect, but fine for a cartoon depiction.
1. I suggest using a better background, contrast background. The bright one is hard to lock at, like bright yellow font on top of white background. Some shadow wont hurt either.
2. Maybe adding some motion-blue like effect to underline the movement?
3. The front left paw looks a bit messy, especially where it connects to the torso. Like it is some plastic toy dog with moving paw.
4. Maybe making tail fur a bit more pronounced?

Something like this? I did some fixes too the paws too.
I also wanted to make a black version too, like how in old rpg you'll fight recolours.

I like how these are coming along. My only gripe (which is a very minor one) is that the orange on the background hind paw of the black dog clashes too strongly with the gray and black colors, making it feel less like a buffer. I would either desaturate the orange shading, or change the paw's shading to blend better with the orange.
