The lighting in my WIP feels off, what do you guys think?

It depends on what you mean by "off", but also it shows that some parts are more finished than others so it is hard to determine which parts already have the light you intended and which do not have it yet. I assume that bottom teeth and jaw are illuminated differently, becasue not yet finished. I also assume that some parts are intended to be wet and glossy (and that effect is achieved perfectly), while others are much less reflective, so that is also not "off".


Please let me know If I'm reading something wrong but these are some inconsistencies I think I see:

The bottom of the tentacle on the left (especially the bottom left part) suggests that the light source is top. The rest of the same tentacle (and the head) suggest the source from the left or slightly top-left. The tip doesn't cast the shadow on the rest of the tentacle.

The right tentacle shows some backlight with shadows and with the light in the middle of it, but the light on the top of that tentacle is eaither suggesting the light from top-front or maybe left if the shape suggests it is going behid the head and cathes the light trom there?
