lose the gradient dither, make them transparant, it'd be a start, I'd say put more form into your color usage, instead of just randomly places pixels or light->dark, try to think of them as actual objects instead of pages in a coloring book.

Yes the poopadon ( as i have named it) seems oddly shaded. And Sir Pink seems a bit flat. And the Emo Emoticon has shading problems too. Try to "form" the objects bu thinking where the light would catch the objects and how the shadows would contour the edges. Edited by Pixel_Outlaw |

Well, youve got some asymmetry issues on your newest one. No shading. Looks like you scrunched your person to fit the canvas. Unless you have width/height restrictions (i.e. for programming a game) then your piece should define the canvas size, not the other way around. Dont be afraid to spend more than 15 minutes on a piece. ;) For transparency, use an image editor. The one I use is called IrfanView. It lets you save .gifs with a transparent background. |
