MoD, you could be a little more helpful...

AdamDee, it seems your piece is full of lines which have been automatically anti-aliased by the program you used to make it. This has given your piece a colour count of 5408. That's alot.

I doubt this piece will be fixable now, but on your next one, you must make sure the tools you're using do not anti-alias. MSPaint is the simplest way of doing things in pixel art, IMO.

Yeah, made it in Photoshop!

Thanks for the helpful response Larwick! I'm doing one of a face right now so I'll switch to Paint.

well that smiley symbolises this piece in a lot of ways:

1 - wrong section
2 - not hand pixelled
3 - not very interesting even as digital art
4 - too saturated
5 - brick pattern obviously used to fill - not even at the right perspective
6 - wayy too many colors
7 - generally ugly to look at
8 - sarcastic attitude
9 - WHY?!?!?
Snark, we love yuu.

Hmm, it seems to me he was confused as to what pixel art was and the guidelines of it. There's no real reason in critisising this piece seeing as i doubt we'll be seeing it again, unless AdamDee has another go at it in full-pixel form... although that doesn't seem to be happening yet.

AdamDee, do you mind if i lock this thread and then you can post a new one with your new piece? As long as it's proper pixel art you should be able to get some proper critisism.

(Sorry guys if i sound a bit off with you, but i think we should be a bit kinder to new members, in the end it was just his lack of knowledge. Oh yeah, and this post was not directed at Feron or meaning to be mean to him in any way.)
