Good morning Murr.
We've been waiting for ages for your update where you were to attempt to make that overly pretty avvy with the M into a more masculine avvy. Is this it?
I like this a lot but not for an avvy.

I can foresee either a BBpie versus Murrman avvy fight or a "make your fish avatar" collab ^^

I can't wait to see it finished :D

i am not sure how i want to shade this. As you can see thoght that it might be cool to do that square shade to simulate scales... but i dont think it suits it anymore. i was thinking cell out (is that wat it was called?)...but are there any good tutorials for that?

It's selout, or selective outlining. It's not really a shading style though.

RPG is numberwang.

I think this screams for secondary lighting. Maybe even from within the "blown up" chest. Kinda like this Mirre piece.

Yes! The bottom slope on the belly your line is:
1,1,1,1,1,2,1,2,1,2,14,6,1,2,2,1,1,2 from left to right
I suggest
1,1,1,2,2,3,4,12,4,3,2,2,2,1,2

i thought about the chest idea, it seemed interesteing, but i have decided to hold off on that idea. Maybe i wil do that as an alternate color after i finish with this one.

Here is my progress at pressent. i am taking my sweet time with this one.

I ditched the black out lines, changed the color many times, these are the ones i am happy with right now, and fixed that problem you, Jalonso, pointed out. i am still not finish and not nearlly happy with the shading...

I like it.  The colors give it an air of realism for some reason.  It's really nice.  Maybe some scales, texturing somethign like that just to add a bit mroe too it, but other than that, I don't see what you don't like.

Looking great! I really has a sense of form to it. I think perhaps the deepest shadow tone could come up a bit more on the side.

The colours are great, I think

Love the new colors, but I'd try some dithering just to see how it looks. If it gets too messy, keep as is, I say.

Wow, I think both should be left the way they are. They each remind me of fish that should be in Zelda games from different years due to the way each are made if that made sense to anyone. And a fish avatar craze would be cool, though I like that avatar that Murr currently has.

(Side note, no clue what's come over me with all these posts in a row in the wip section, I'm usually never in here and when I am I try not to post, I don't think I'm at a level myself yet enough to critique others, but oh well)
Someday I'll take over the world, just not today...

Gills, it is a fish, damn it, with out gills. (you might have noticed that my first one had nostrils. Which do you think would survive longer? a fish without the breathing organs, or one with lungs?

ill fix that tommorrow.
