Hi, I am beginner in Pixelart, so I am trying to find some easy thing to draw. I think that the easiest things are technical stuffs or machines and I started to do a car.

It should be a new Ford Transit if you cant see that...

I have to add some details now, but I hope that the base is already finished. I am using quite a lot of colors (about 30).

I appreciate all advice!!

Thanks...

I do not think that the car is too wide - I had it narrower before, but it looked really bad, so I extended the car a little bit. I like it now...

True is that wheels are flat - i have to fix this later. I had problems with wheels. (There is not enough space )

I havent understood you with the doors. Do you mean that the outline of the doors is too pale?

I am wondering if I could draw the interior behind windows - I think that it should create better "glass appearance" to windows.

i dont think the car is too wide, i think its not high enough, allso, it looks like a 3d model with some skins on it, but there's no depth
try combining dark lines with highlights to create indents rather then dark lines only

the palette could use some work too

the dark outlines of the side windows are in 1 colour, so there is no depth in it... same with the outlines of the doors itself, i think theyre a bit too light...

Oh, I understand now... The car is flat in original too. The doors are not striking the eyes as you would expect. Please visit this official Ford site, I am using these pictures as references. My car is on the third image.

You can see that this car is simple box (that makes it so easy ) and in few colors it should look really flat. I hope I will fix it with some car paint reflections. (and it is definetely not 3d model )

I am working on an interior, plaese write your notes to this phase:

I will of course "add the glasses" later, that would brightness the windows a little bit and I will also add reflections later.

well, maybe you should fix these wheels first...? anyway, ideas for reflexion... id say, dont make the surface too reflecting... just a bit, maybe some dirt behind the wheels and an antenna on the car... id also say the car is almost finished...

Of course that I have not forgotten your advice...  - Ill remake wheels as soon as possible...

There are still few details missing and antenna is one of them.

I want to add reflection only to the glass, I do not know yet how can I add it to the surface. Ill probably only highlight some edges... I dont think that Monkeyspork has a good method to do car-paint...

That looks alot better but the bonet looks to squashed up in my opinon, but it may just look odd because the van is still too wide. Here look at this reference you can immediatly see that its far to wide. Wheels also look a bit small but may also be because it is too wide.

no, not too wide... too square.... Wide is not really the problem... it just looks really wide because of the square shape in  the pixel...

It is not wide.

Your reference pict is not correct. You posted old version of this car. I am drawing new transit with redesigned mask. This new version has a "square shape". Please check my reference images, I had send it in some post before. (official ford photogallery)

Problem is that wheels are to small - I am working on that.

I would fix the lighting a bit, as right now it looks a bit uneven with some of the highlights
