NEVER, EVER, EVER save as a jpg or jpeg it messes up the compression then it messes up the picture

Well the line art is a resized thumbnail...but even that is still a png LOL.

Just to clarify what "theguy" is trying to say for anyone that doesn't understand: PNG & GIF use lossless compression, meaning that they both preserve your pixels during compression (ie you don't lose any). JPEG on the other hand uses lossy compression which will alter your original artwork in favor of file size.

For pixel art, it's always best to use either the PNG or GIF format. You *can* use jpeg...but the image will not be easily (if at all) editable afterwards, and the quality level has to be set so high that it defeats the point of compression.


edit: As long as im here, I should probably comment. Though im not crazy about your coloring, your line art is quite nice (before it was thumbnailed and auto aa'ed). You might try shading the body black, with a white pickguard, then selectively putting small amounts of color on it. I think it would look a little more realistic as the colors right now are a little messy (mostly the white pixels though).

I didn't realize you had 40 colors? Im not sure what happened there, most likely by accident though. I still stick to my original advice to reshade the guitar and go from there.
