You took the last one from a t-shirt? What does that mean exactly?

Probably that he took the design from a t-shirt.

As for the avatar, dont save files as jpg it'll skyrocket the color count.

The image in her gallery here is a normal GIF file, so most likely PhotoBucket just automatically converted it.

Well DUH, genius. I wanted to know if it's an image color reduction or not.

@Metaru: I have an idea.

The second one displays a bit of competent pixelling, but it really isn't anything to write home about. It's decent, but not impressive, because it's resized from a really small size and even then it wasn't doing all it could be with the pixels you have. Try giving the word a 3D effect, shadow, outline, or something else to add interest and antialias to make it smoother. (Unless you wanted a look that emphasizes the pixel-made quality, in which case it might be better to go for a 200% from the small version without lines separating pixels.) You could also add some color or texture; black and white is great and all, but it doesn't really scream ATTITUDE like some color schemes might.

RPG is numberwang.

thanks for all the comments, esp the person above :)
i think i'm going to give up on that attitude one, it was a lame idea.
here is how the piece has changed, it's most noticable on the duck and the chair outlines. any comments??

...i know it's the worst animation in the history of bad animations. oh well.

oh, and the no hips thing is on purpose, cause i'm quite little, and when i tried to add hips it just looked out of proportion etc.

I love this little ani. I wonder why it wasn't admitted outright (maybe the small gradient on the hair). I would finish the thought bubble on the right side edge of the last frame.

Well, i took on board Monkey 'o Doom's commento about changing the colour scheme (and trying to add some texture) on the 'attitude' piece and came up came up with this:
however, i've had some really negative private messages etc. about it, and M'oD was all 'you should have sticked with the WIP thread, so here i am (!) asking for a bit of advice on how to improve this...

...sozzy.

Well, I felt you could really make it something more if you gave it a bit more time in the forum. (BTW, you posted a .jpg of it there; change it before you get shot. ;) )

So I guess it would be a good idea for me to critique it a bit if I was saying that was what it needed. First off, you don't have much contrast as far as the text goes, and with the really pixel-emphasizing square quality you have you don't want to have subtle or unnoticeable shading. So turn the lighter text color to a near-white shade and then darken the shadow color some as well. It might be a good idea to make the background a more bluish or an indigo color to make the text pop out some more, as well. And there could be some shading on the holes in the A and D.

I'd also like to say that the "loser" animation has come along a good way from its start. The only issue the animation part has now is that it's a little slow and because of that it looks kind of choppy.

RPG is numberwang.

well, I had a go with what Monkey'o Doom suggested:

I then thought, hey hang on a sec, I could animate this:

then i had a go at de-dodgifying the shadows:

any commentos?? I know none of them are perfect but I have taken onboard the crits as best as I could. I'm very very VERY grateful to everyone who's been helping me out!!

oh yeah, and i finally got photobucket to save the still image as a gif!! *celebrates* ...i did a two frame animation of it, sorted!!

===EDIT: oh POOOOOOOOOOO i can see there's a fault with the last picture on the 'A'. cruuuuuuuuuuuuud. That is sooo smelly.====

In addition to the problems with your "A", the animation loop is slightly off. It jumps a bit.

Also, it might look better if the red bars were black, to make it look like caution tape. You'd have to rethink the colors of your letters, though.

Lastly, all three Ts appear to be identical. It might be more interesting to look at if you varied them a little.

Having said all that, it's a vast improvement over your original. Definitely more Attitude in this one.

EDIT: Grammar.
EDIT: I just noticed the third T is actually one "pixel" shorter than the rest. I think my point remains valid, though.
EDIT (Yet again): I just noticed that all three Ts are, in fact, slightly different. Boy I'm a cretin. Though the fact that it took me three edits to notice suggests that my point is, in fact, still valid. Valid, I say!

lol!!

I'm reluctant to change the 'T's, because how I've drawn it is exactly how the logo looks...once i get my &!*@#~; animator to !£$%^{# work i'll post the result of your comments in the next edit ...that caution tape idea was inspired hatch, thankyouthankyou!!

*embarassed* EASY GIF ANIMATOR 4.2
i know it's a bit rubbish but it works for me; all I need is to put the pictures together with timings and put transparency on everything and it does that. go ahead. laugh. I can't find anything better which is cheap.

here are the improved attitudes, couldn't decide which one was better:

OR

really loved that caution tape idea :]

Hey, I think that for never pixeling before you avatar is really good!
Here's a tip though, as soon as the paper hits her head, make her head bob down real quick about 1 or 2 pixels, for that flinching kind of motion, ya know? I think that would add something to it.

Also, take the paper, and every other fram rotate it 90 degress, or finer rotation if you have something better than paint (I don't )

And as for the Attitude thing, It's looking better but I think it would look ALOT better, if you scaled it down.

Like, take it, re-do it, and make every individual square as big as a single pixel, because it's not a bad idea, just with the clashing yellow and black colors, that big, as a signature or something, would be REALLY annoying and irratating to look at on a forum.

Good luck!
