oh, thanks guys, i just didnt want to finish it just to have an admin reject it saying i did it wrong, or i didnt know what pixel art even is.

Hey, good stuff going on here and in the gallery. Keep 'em coming everyone!
 I'm trying for a second submission. Here's my WIP. I'm going for more of a close-up this time, so I used a mirror for my base image rather than drawing from my mind's eye. It looks great, but sorry.. it may just be me but the orange is somehow too much bouncing off the picture...? IMHO it's too strong for other colors..

When I colored it I thought it would be interesting to have some kind of contra-light effect. making the elements almost silhuettes.
but i understand what you mean... maybe you're right. anyway it's too late now, i already submited the piece. thanks for the insight Zlajonja!  |

quick color swap edit. reduced the color count from 36 to 17.
