Hey guys,

I'm making a game called Master Lao vs. the IRS. Head to my website to try out the engine and read up on the whole production. You can also see pixel art of all of the characters in the archives as well.

Here's an animation test of the main character. Lemme know what you think!

Holy crap! This animation is amazing.
The movement, the art - just great.
If you want any critique - the shadow should dilate and contract as the guy's distance from the ground changes. also, if you are a perfectionist, you can make the shading smooth... but that's another issue.

You've picked one heckuva tough angle and you've really pulled it off.  The eye and mouth shifting bothers me a little bit, but other than that it's just spectacular.

Wow, awesome animation. The only thing I'd suggest is some AAing on the shading

Something about this reminds me rather incredibly of Wallace and Grommit...maybe it's his hands, or his eyes/head...

quite awesome, in any case. Though it seems to me he hangs a little long in the air, before coming down again.

Beautiful.

Wow.

I agree with all the above crits, except that the shading needs smoothened. I like it as is; stylish.
And yes, very Wallace and Grommitish. It's the head.

I look forward to the game. Looks nice.

Finally, now that I can actually login I can post :)

To the topic: I would agree with sedge about the random mouth motion. It looks like he's trying to hard.

I would asume you aren't finished with it. Because if that iso style circle on the bottom is his shadow, I think it would change acordingly in the animation.

As I've always said about your style - Great job DUDE!

PS. I'm Negative Gravity btw, go by Zoomrix here because Negative Gravity is too long.
