I want this to be the best it can be so I'm looking for some C+C. :)
Here's what I have based off a picture: ![]() ![]() I'm stuck at a standstill when it comes to it. No matter what I do I can't get the damn lips to look right. It's been a bit frustrating. I'm not asking anyone to do the lips FOR me but.. if someone could.. somehow give me some help that's not "hey, the lips are pointing the wrong way", I'd appreciate it. Also, I know the hair is unshaded, this is mostly due to my apprehension when approaching hair shading. Although, given it some thought since I started this I have a few ideas on how to approach it. Suggestions are, of course, appreciated with that as well. And, any other tidbits ARE fully appreciated. Athankyou. :) |

Nice start, but a few comments:
The lips should be about a pixel closer to the nose; the lips don't stick out as much, so cut out a pixel from the left; the lips should be fuller on our right side; the mouth is slightly opened! I'll make a sketch later today to illustrate what I mean |

Much better. The mouth looks like it is rotated CCW a bit though.l
and in the photo the guy is looking to his right, so make his eyes turned... quite nice though. |

Yeah, sure. you're welcome.
actually as I'm looking at it, the mouth (in the photo) seems *almost* horizontal. I would also add a little bit to the top of his skull, right now the head seems cut off. |

It looks to me as though you're percieving the photo wrong. I don't
think that the white area in front of his face is part of the
background, rather, it's the white light reflecting off of his face.
Just adding a few pixels to flesh out the cheek and chin should fix
this, I think.

I kept feeling like he was in three quarters and profile at the same time, and wasn't sure why it looked off - but it looks off because there should be more of his face visible behind his nose/mouth... |
