You've got some inconsistent light source happenin. I'd say stick with the lighting on the back, and make the light appear to come from the top right. That means that the arms will be hidden somewhat by the body, and therefore darker. Here's the light source tutorial. http://www.natomic.com/hosted/marks/mpat/shading.html Another thing. You seem to be shading too deeply, he looks like he's made of balloons, not muscles. It might sound harsh, but I'm just helpin Edited by Saboteur |

You should seriously consider tinting your shades, the brighter the
color, the more yellow it becomes(while still retaining it's color),
and the darker the color, the more blue it becomes, while still
retaining it's color.
And I agree, his muscles look balloon-ish. I hate to say it, but...perhaps less contrast? |

yeah it looks like doo doo right now because i have never tried to make
anything of this figure and thats pretty much why i took a shot at it
but thanks for the crits and the links ill try and edit him and repost
