I love it.
The ridges around those white 'eyes' are really tasty to look at.
I'd suggest lowering the guy's eyes slightly. It's meant to be you right?

Alk, the interlace dithering in the hair and face is delicious. The robot's left eye(our right) is looking wonderful as well. Here's hoping you can manage that bright red highlight on the robot's eye, without it looking sloppy or clashing with the cool colors. I also really hope you finish this, and don't let it become another great piece left to gather dust....
