![]() Topic: Pixel Art (Beginner)Posted: 16 May 2012 at 5:15pm |

Greetings,
Well I just started to do pixel art 2 days ago and I was wondering where I should start learning. Like right now I started to try out tiles even though it's nowhere near good, but is there any kind of directions that I should be heading first as a beginner? Keep in mind that I am really interested in pixel art, so it would be very great if someone could give a bit detail as possible. Other than that here are the progresses that I have been making so far: Image of the grass tile: Day 1: Day 2:
Aside for that I will be posting regularly on my daily progress for making grass tiles. As for practice I will be doing grass tile all this week in other to understand it better. So any kind of tips or hints along my journey would be very grateful, Thank You! |

Well, D1 has some major outlier strands (the thick strand that forms the x is distracting)
As for color, it is not bad. D2 is good color wise, but is a little boring. Perhaps just a little blue could be added to the green grass. D1's colors appear more like the interior of a tree then grass. (the fat strands also add to this tree effect) But yeah your organization is terrible. For your D2 some blades are touching to form large messes. There are also a few horizontile strands, which should not be there. |
