#1- Favorite  NCAA Mascot?

With this kind of size

#2- Expanding on fugitive's idea, we could have a  template of a mugshot style picture. With only the guy holding the sign, and the classic striped jump suit, but without a head, and people could draw portraits of themselves in, and maybe put their PJ name on the sign thing.

(the pixel art in it is basic, but its just to show the idea)

We put down a large grid, we divide it randomly. Each "puzzle piece" has a package entry and exit point. Each participant has 16 frames of animation (maybe less) to get the package from one machine end to the other. In the end, we put all parts together, and it should flawlessly animate.
That would rule.

Then we put a background and whoo! impressive work!

Hey this is a great idea, I re-suggest this.

The blue ball idea is awesome let's do it

EDIT

What if we did a city in the same sort of way? like everybody has a certain space, they can put whatever they want there as long as  it fits in with the city.  We could have anything from hotdog stands to robberies.  A huge pixeljoint city would be highly amusing.

So I had this collab idea today when I was doodling and thought I would bounce it off people.

It's called The Wishing Well and what it would be is a wishing well, but a cross-section side-view, possibly isometric. Everyone could add a peice of the well as it keeps going further and further deeper into the ground.

Also, maybe every frame could have the rope going through it. (With a bucket at the end.)

I think the success of this collab would hinge on the initial art at the top because everything would have to match up slightly but the idea would be cool.

Also, perhaps every new layer would have to use a slightly darker pallette as it descends. I dunno, it sounded like a sweet pixel collab. Opinions wanted. I may have an example image up soon too.

I was looking at the Let's make some spaceships topic and was wondering...

Might there be someone on PJ handy enough with programming skills to make a small (or huge) shoot em up game? Since the collaboration is already started but the art is just standing there.. catching dust and stuff.

So this means the game would be clumsy (cause of the different styles), but that's kinda funny in my opinion and people can contribute spaceships/background/items/etc.

If this is a bad idea, just blow my head off.

I was thinking maybe someone could make a first frame of a comic, and other members could continue the comic adding one frame each time. They could use their style if they wanted. or people could try to keep it the same style throughout the whole thing.
Anybody?

Best idea yet.
I mean, I dont 100% get it, but if it was set up I would absolutely contribute.

I thought of one the other day. i call it "The missing chaos". In Sonic adventure/DX, Chaos takes on many forms, but two of them are missing, Chaos 3 and Chaos 5. Try pixeling one of them, 5 obviously being a bigger chaos than 3.

in the wip topic you see sometimes great edits.. why dont we make a big edit collab..
we start with something veery crappy.. and some1 makes an simple edit, 2 to 10 minutes on it, next one makes a 5 min edit on that, and the next one 5 min edit on that etc..

first it looks like nothing, after a few edits it gets starting to look like PA, but when its allmost finished, we can learn alot about each other, because every1 changes what they think whats wrong.. and you can compare your version to that of others...

What do you guys think about this?

Something I've been trying to find for a long time but never found: a pixel multiplayer drawing pad. Could be online or software, but I'd be ready to pay at least a few dollars to get it!

Maybe we could do a "timecapsule"? Like we put PA in the "timecapsule" for 6 months and see how we can improve it with new skills when we "open it up".

The Usual Suspects: Pixel Lineup
  1. Someone pixels a background along the lines of this (minus the figures).
  2. Repeat:
  1. Someone suggests a crime to have been committed (probably a humorous one).
  2. Others pixel suspects of that crime (again probably humorous) to the scale and lighting of prepixelled background.
  3. After few pixelled suspects are completed they are placed on top of prepixelled background.
  4. Pixel joy for all.
P.S. I may possibly have unconsciously stolen this idea from somewhere (I tend to do that). If so let me know where.
P.P.S. Kind of like Xisto's mugshot idea. Could perhaps combine the two. Mugshot as preview of full character or lineup.

Make your own mini pixel signature

Make a small signature with your username, a little tingie over/under the username and a coloured background.

Example:
Example 2:

 - Larwick makes a red signature with his username and fuse over the username.

 - Black Dragon makes a black/grey signature with his username and a black dragon over the username.

 - greenraven makes a green signature with his username and a... aaa... Green raven over the username.
  • Canvas Size: 50x50 Max.
  • Transparency: Yes.
  • Animation: Allowed.

Sounds cool?

1. People pixel famous paintings like the Mona Lisa.
2. Other People make the background.
3. We can have other people (Probably people from famous drawings, like Mona Lisa.) looking at the pictures.
4. Try to keep picture as small as possible.

And another.

Just a regular collaboration of an isometric cave, with secret passageways and stuff, kind of like National Treasure. Everybody does 1 tile, and they all connect. A mosaic. 256 color limit, and 48x48 exactly.

And another.

Someone posts a basic creature, and someone posts and "evolved" version of that creature, by basically increasing or decreasing size, and adding or taking away body parts, and so on. 256 colors per image.

Another.

Someone draws something, and the next person adds something small to that, and so on. You can't tell people what the thing you're adding is supposed to be, they just add on to what it looks like.

Id like to see a comic panel challenge if it hasnt been done already.

Pixels would work well with old style comic panels that use things like Zip-tone adhesive and print press styled textures
