Hey Guys,
I work for Pepsi and in a meeting we were challenged to come up with a good Thanksgiving display. I started looking online for ideas and came across this one: I thought it would be awesome to use our 12-packs to do a pixelated turkey. I am a fairly proficient photoshop user, but I suck at pixel art. I am hoping somebody here would be willing to mess around with this project. Here are the stipulations: 1. I has to be fairly low-res. Go to your local grocery store and you can see how big the 12-packs are. I think about 3" x 4.5" on the end. If there are too many pixels, the display will be too big. The display above is pretty big. We could do something like that, but no bigger. 2. It has to use the colors available to us. In other words we have only the available varieties of pepsi products for colors. Mug rootbeer would probably be a good brown. Code red mountain dew for red. Pineapple crush for yellow. Diet Caffeine Free Pepsi for white. And if you need another color, just post the color and I'll try to think of a product that would work. 3. It cannot have any hanging parts. We have to build upon product below. Here are the suggestions: 1. It does not have to be square, or a scene pic. If the top were the outline of the turkey, that would be great, but as I said before, no unsupported product. 2. It can also be semi-3d. We can pull out 12 packs a little to give the illusion of depth. So the turkeys body could be incrementally nudged out to give it a spherical look. Not sure if anybody would be interested in doing this project, but it would be awesome. If I do decide on using something that comes from here, I will post the finished display to youtube with honor to the creator. Also, I will post pics of it here on this site. Thanks for your creativity, Ryan |

One more thing, The display needs to have a section that is sellable. This is usually all across the bottom. Sometimes, it surrounds the center display. In the picture above, it is in the bottom right and is being portrayed as a platform in mario bros.
I'm not sure whether or not this will be against a wall or by itself in a lobby, so keep that in mind. And of course, we may need to modify it while we're building, so don't be offended if that shows in the video or pics. Thanks again, Ryan |

Just had another thought. Would be harder, but very cool if it is even possible...
We have done 3d displays before as well. Mainly just very simple objects, like a christmas tree or something similar. But if a thanksgiving theme is possible it would be cool. Maybe a pilgrims hat or something. Just an idea. Thanks, Ryan |

The main thing this will be used for is a template for the display itself, so approximations of the colors listed would be fine. If you still think it would be easier, I can make a pallete in photoshop. Just let me know Thanks, Ryan |
