I just got back into doing pixel art and what other then my favorite, guns. I'm better at making the outline of the weapon rather then coloring it :x

Can you guys perhaps color this so I can get some examples how you guys do it. It will really help me out. Thanks :)

I was going to do a standard m4, but on the way I made it more of a special forces variant with a shorter barrel and heat-shield, along with a fore grip.

Well for shading you want to choose a lighting source to start with then shade accordingly. And for colors look at real life images of what gun you are trying to draw to get some ideas for colors. Colors come with time and practice though- you wont make very interesting and pro color choices in the early stages of learning pixel art due to the random stray colors that make a piece of art look really vibrant and realistic.

EDIT: heres my try at it for a little bit, i still have trouble choosing approptiate times with those weird colors so im not a great colorer either but yeah just play around

How about you do it yourself, and then we can help you improve your skill.

Doing is better training that seeing someone do it. Looking at the outcome of another person's effort is even less useful.
