Hey everyone. Im working on doin graphics for a iOS game thats currently being developed. Its a match-3 puzzle style game done in pixel style and the concept is vending machine.

Looking for advice on how to really help make the machine pop better. Primarily dealing with those corners and gradients. Any examples of how to do metal better? Suggestions? Thanks a lot.

I would go with a completely curved glass, most machines i see nowadays are made like that. Shade it and it should look fine. I would even get rid of the metal and make it a fake-cola logo machine.

Can you provide a tut or example of how to achieve the curved surface? What colors would you try if it wasn't a silver metal?

Im sorry mate, im just a noobie, so i cant really tell you how, but i can show you what i meant.
This is it but obviously the center part transparent, to make it curvy, i dont know, a sort of gradient between black and white with low opacity from left to right? Might want to wait for someone more competent.

Also, if you want to keep the metal, check out http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jVpWp29M6CU/TOqT-7bluAI/AAAAAAAAAho/WvyaFLxUelc/s640/drink-machine-1.jpg even if it dosent really look to realistic.

thanks, but that reference is a different type of machine (soda only) and doesn't have glass. Looking for suggestions to make what I already have, 'pop' out more. (i.e. pixel art bevel techniques)
