@LuckyF; So what happened to your original #4? Shall we move it somewhere else or is it dumped?

I've only come up with the sub from Jules Verne 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea :/
of course, there is always JAWS or The Little Mermaid >.<

I found this. Check picture #2.

@LuckyF; well it was good and gave a good idea as to how to give the underwater feeling, but of course you can make this one as good as that, too.

Imma try to make my tile a hommage to Jalanso's Blue BAll Crab! have to say I find this palette really hard to work with..

here's a little mock-up of what I got so far. I probably should make the male crabs smaller.

Also any ideas on how to make the crabs/fish stand out more from the background?

yeah still trying to find a good transition, its still WIP. (yes yellow is above water) and still not sure if the whole thing stays like that, therefore i wrote in the first post that no one should rely on the borders yet =]

Finding it a bit too 'comic'-like. Ill see what i can do about it.

Btw. for the border tiles like mine, can we go "out" of the isotile? like here in that case of tile nr. 8 could i go upwards in the upper right / or left corners?

Yes you can go out of your tile. Just try to keep within the borders of the image unless you must go out.

Maybe you can try to smooth out those dark borders of the yellow rocks. I think underwater part is good.

Oh and one more thing, see that black border you drew on the lower right border of your tile? That prevents your neighbour from continuing your tile.

Edit: I'm reserving #45 to make some temple-ish stuff.

I have an idea for 47 if I can have a starting tile. I'll have a WIP Thursday or Friday when I get back home. I saw the reservations going quickly, and I can have a WIP within the week, so... Yeah. 47 please. Thanks.

@LuckyF: Thanks a lot for the big change you made in your tile. It is great and I liked also the previous one.

I really like your version of C'thulhu.
I put a marine near the Kraken (under your bubbles) as requested.
I noticed you removed one C'thulhu finger... well if you removed it on purpose feel free to remove it again...

@Gecimen: I added bubbles... but when I logged I noticed that LuckyF added them already... so I left his bubbles.

@Nyno: those lotus leaves don't appear to be isometric at the moment. Assuming they're circular, they should simply be an ellipse half as tall as they are tall (with the triangle cut out etc.).

It would be really nice if you picked a tile with a neighbour mate, in case you haven't already started. Even if there are no such tiles for your taste, there will be lots until Thursday.

I think this is pretty much done, barring any serious flaws. I want to do something with the rather empty right side, but everything I've come up with requires more space than I have on that right side. I'm willing to go back and edit if Frost Butt (#60) or whoever gets #67 wants to expand their concept out of their hex and into the right side of this one. Like another underwater temple/building or something, or a gigantenormous monster that takes up more than one hex.

Your lower right side is empty too, so you should break it (e.g. by making some stalactites under the rocks.)

just to be sure, since there is no neighbourtile below that corner (thats why i thought i'd make that "bend border" to bend over to the tile left of it)

area 1 or 2? or that whole line/side?

Use the link that says "DirectLink" from imageshack.
DirectLink was "http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/5709/tile184.png" in this case.

Well there are some major issues that keeps putting the tile far from finished.
1- Most elements are hardly readable. I can't understand what the red ball or the 4 legged thing are. The fishes (?) above don't look like floating but like white dots on the ground.
2- The ground doesn't seem like underwater at all. If you're taking LBpixel's unfinished tile as an example, don't.
3- The upper borders don't give your future neighbours anything to continue.

@Gecimen, you are right. but I honestly am having a really hard time working with this palette, even though I love the theme.

@Jinn, yes! I was/am planning on making my tiles a hommage to pixels made by pj's members and the blue ball crabb was one of my fovourite ones so i decided to go with that one first.

Though the way it is looking now does not really do Jalanso justice :<

I will try even harder on the next edit :D.

You can try to mix purples, blues and yellows into the big empty green ground. You can try to imitate what Jalonso has done with the ground in that piece, or you can try to add something else (corals, plantation) and break that "Pandora forgot to paint me :(" look . Also the living things can use some more detail. Take your time and take it to a level that you can say it's done.

EDIT:
WIP1 for tile #45. Graindolium, can you add that bottom of the temple in your tile?

PS: Upper and middle right sides will not change a lot so anyone can begin working on those tiles....

Gecimen, I think the first two columns at the lower left edge need to be a tiny bit higher, because of the length of the shadows in 52. Also, there is one shadow which implies a block lying horizontal across two columns... do you plan to add that or should I simply remove the shadow in 52 (probably easier and you wouldn't have to hide so much of your pyramid temple)?

Maybe you could try making the crabs twice their current size to increase readability.

@Pandora's secret: Big improvement. Only the crab may need some more work but I'm putting it up in the main image now. I'll call it finished if you're done with it.

@Dennis; Thanks for #52. #21 looks cool. The merman's torso may need some more love but at least readability isn't the problem.

@ingl0rious; sure!

Cant think of anything else to add. If you got nothing to change / improve i'd call it done :]

Dude, your colors are completely wrong. I guess I fixed them and added to the main image but, I'm not sure since there are a lot of close colors in the palette. Can you please fix the colors next update?
