Pixel Joint Forum: new guy here (first real pixel art attemt

Hello there im phil, from N Ireland 23 and graphic designer doing a degree in graphic design.

any way been intrested in pixel art for a while but never got my ass
into gear to do something so, a uni project came along basicly a port
folio in power point so the idea is

a pixel art city or a few streets and each building will be a link to
part of my portfolio, ie personal, cv, uni portfolio, out of uni stuff
(paid stuff)

heres what i have done so far, took me 2 days to get this far, still learning the basics but u get the idea

doing the basic thing in ms paint but will cut and paste stuff useing
photoshop into powerpoint so each building is a dif layer and also a
button that is a link.

trying to do it less cartoon/collorfull i want to try and get it a bit dark and real looking.

what u guys think? ill be keeping u updated every few days of my work.

any tips? or hints? or ideas even?

	its too soon for me to give you any other advice other than dont use bitmaps (they are too big) use a gif or png file type

Right now, it just looks like a rough outline with no real plan of the vision in mind

	ok thanks for the reply guys just was useing bmp as tried saving as a jpg and the quality deteriated a bit from what it was in ms paint. ive a plan in my head and drawn out on paper, or at least a rough idea what way and hight and shape the buildings are going to be. any way ill keep u all updated with my progress

	after getting the ok from my tutor this morning i will be quickly devolping this street/city into what will hopefully be a pritty good image watch this space
