you have 11 colors there. 4 of which are only a few pixels mostly around the face (such as the black in the nose) But seriously, the entire piece blends together into one fog of pixels. The animal barely stands out at all, and its lower jaw almost completely disappears. The ground is so busy it could easily look like shallow water, sand, or grassland, and I cant tell if the background is made of forested hills or mountains or sand dunes. You need to focus on making it readable before adding details, and you're definitely over detailing I think. When every piece of the picture has the same amount of detail it can lose focus. Add in the fuzzy effect from the limited pallet and you've got a very messy looking piece. Also, never have a subject just perfectly touching the outside edge of the canvas. either move it a few pixels to the left or extend the right side. Block in shapes with solid colors, get the shadows placed and general colors worked out before you start detailing. Its not fun to get so far into a piece before realizing its got problems.
