I started this out just messing around and got really into it. Dropped it and just picked it back up today. I was wondering if anyone can give me any pointers on the clothing, how to shade it and the facial details(obviously).

well, you could make the face darker and make the eyes and mouth brighter. and do a little more shadowing around the coat
