This is one of my biggest pixel art accomplishment so far, because of the size
I am trying to use as little amount of color shades as possible, but still maintaining the depth. I know this isn't the best shading, but I am having difficulty shading big objects right now 3: Personally I am very happy with the shading so far, not sure if I need anymore or leave as is. ![]() Here is a reference picture for anyone who is not familiar with this creature http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/122/b/1/son_goku_by_maksitobi-d4yazzn.png any help on improvement would be greatly appreciated :) Edited by Danny112 - 06 December 2013 at 8:51pm |

you could try using bolder colors, with a little hue shifting. Also maybe some highlights. edit:
![]() obviously my highlights suck, but maybe you could use that highlight color to suggest theres some fire to his left thats lighting him up from that side or something. |
