I did my best to learn and create some basic pixel art... here is what I got in a day! Please give me some tips and stuff that you would've liked to know when you started!

1. Do not use jagged outlines. Make them consistent 1, 2, or 3 pixels a step. Look at any isometric pixel tutorial really.
2. Clean up diagonals. They don't really need excessive pixels, just need to be 1px wide. Also, cylinders are not shaded like this. Look for any gereral art tutorials or google "cylinder shading". 3. Soil and cactus use colors that fade with main color. Either get rid of them or make more distiguishable. Then the pot could use a little rim inside to make it more believable. Also i tried quickly recoloring the cactus, sorry for that mess. I'm not much of a cactus painter :D. Tried adding thorns, but they probably don't look good. I hope you get the idea and will do better job at cactusing. Read tutorials, they explain everything. ![]() |
