Interesting design.
You should make the dip on the back side of the sword a little more round, and increase the size of the pommel. (pommel = ball at end of handle.) Also, on the guard of the handle, the green section pointing at where your hand goes, bend that up a little, pointing less at the handle. |

I feel composition as such is far to flat Which is why I take a major liking toward scenes rather then designs.
that Is all I have to say really the design is nice, Could use some better colours though. |

(Disclaimer : I'm a beginner at pixel art myself)
I really like your sword's design like Limes mentions, but I notice that you've used a straight black for outlining and the mid separation. You might consider using lighter/darker shades of the adjacent squares to break up sections in a way that implies light/shadow over angles. I took the original image and broke up the black shading on the blade section with two additional colors as a way to demonstrate what I'm suggesting:
