   CHALLENGE: So Far Away
Depict a long-distance relationship between two characters, both of whom are non-humanoids.

Canvas Size - Unrestricted.

Colours - Max 14.

Transparency - Optional.

Animation - Optional.
CHALLENGE RULES
Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
Only new pixels allowed.
Open to all members.
Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.
CHALLENGE JUDGING
Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES
Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
No matter what happens you get challenged :)

BTW. here's the first thing that came to my head. bu maybe I'll go for something completely different UPDATE http://i.imgur.com/qhjs1gd.png now i don't like it. This looks more like a rope in rather than entangled tentacles. UPD2 played with colors, redone the tentacles. UPD3 Looks too messy. I don't like how the stratosphere is done, but don't know how to make it any better. Also the intended point of attraction (the flower) doesn't attract the eye. 	I actually thought about doing something with chemistry / physics, with covalent-bonds representing the "long-distance relationship" in some manner or an other. I thought it could be funny to have an H2O group with its 2 hydrogen particles fuss about in a love-triangle regarding whom gets the honors of bonding with the oxygen's electron first, but since this isn't about love-triangles I had to scrap it. =P P.S: It's amusing to see how everyone went for the highest echelon in the interpretation of "long-distance" as "celestially-long" Edited by TrojanMonkey - 10 February 2015 at 12:33pm

	sketch WIP not too sure if I should swap out the arrows for animation. I plan to make them less awful-looking in the final, but maybe some motion would work better...

	Humanoid= looks like a human So the question you must ask yourself is: Are farm animals and motor vehicles human?

	Humanoid - anything with the basic structure of a human. Think head, legs, arms, and torso (in a similar configuration to a human).

	Hi, here is my idea for this challenge: The two little owls have a 'distant' relationship, as their parents don't let them play together. I agree this is rather a short distance... Unfortunately, I won't probably have the time to work on it before the challenge's deadline.
