Hi guys, this artwork is not used in game, its just art.
Please write feedback and ideas about art. Thanks! https://www.facebook.com/blackprincevideogame/photos/a.1584075191889573.1073741828.1576108592686233/1658299057800519/?type=3&theater |

I can't understand how it is (the mages and especially the grass) way noisier and dirtier than the other pixelart shown on that page... I like the female character face the most.
The grass on other pictures is way way better... Why are you shoing the worst part if clearly there's assets more technically correct there? :P I wouldn't want to sound unwelcoming, definitely not my tone. I just think that 'give ideas' is too generic for the topic here. If you require some technical help on pixelart is one thing, we should help each other to get better, but calling for ideas is another question: many people here are struggling with their own creative decissions for their projects, so, that generic call for 'ideas' so generic I think is out of reach of the topic of the forum. You ask people to familiarize with your project, and then think and give you their own ideas... a very costy help in terms of time and effort. Also, there's a forum section for hiring pixel artists here. Best luck with the project! Said so, I hope someone here or elsewere can help you with some ideas. Count me to help with any definite question at my reach that I read here. And beyond, there's wiser pixelartists. |

Yes, the screenshots from game have a more clear technique and more colors ( on this experimental art I limited colors very much ). Anyway, thanks for feedback, maybe you are right and this experimental artwork is not looking pleasant, maybe I should remove it from game page. What about ideas, it can be anything, including ideas about colors, like you said it about the grass colors. And feedback about other images from the game page is also welcome! Thanks! |

It's not about the color count. It just lacks any structure if you look at the grass. You can create perfectly fine grass with only two colors if you know what you are doing.
As it is now, it just looks like random noise. I would suggest to either try to shape out the grass properly or make it single color if you are aiming for a more comic like look. Looking at the characters, there is also too much noise. The contrast and choice of colors are also quite aggressive. Going for clearer, more minimalistic shapes and less saturated colors might be a way to go about it. |

I think if you are trying to reach a fanbase for people who like really old-school looking games, then you are going in the right direction because that's what it immediately felt like to me. Not really my style, but I'm sure there is a good community for those type of games.
The pink on the columns looks really odd though. I know when pixel arting for games, I don't really want to add more colors, but I usually find myself using the "added" color because it was need all along anyways. So don't be afraid to add a color when it's needed! Overall a really good start and it looks very niche which can be a good thing to make your game stand out from the others. |

Thanks for feedback!
The image I posted in topic is an experimental play with reducing colors. I see here are people who are ready to help and give feedback, thanks! I will create new topics with artwork from game and will post less experimental works. |
