@gawrone; no, you don't have to wait on #57. Just keep in mind that your tile continues well with those completed around you. And enjoy!

Hey just remembered this is a thing oAo
No progress on my tile again, but rest assured I have an idea for Marvin to work on now! Just been distracted by a final that I recently had and forgot about the tile for some time. I'll try to get it done soon since the terrain looks to be nearly complete and the idea for Marvin shouldn't be too hard to implement.

Thank you so much for the hint. This shows the curvature perfectly. Is there anything else that need corrections? Should I direct footprints somewhere else? I tried to leave them open for continuation optional for one of two tiles.

@gawrone; of course you can.  You can't choose 57 and 64 because these are your neighboring tiles, but there are a lot of those that you can.

Here is the list of available tiles: 5, 6, 20, 26, 33, 55, 57, 63, 64, 69, 70, 76, 85, 93.

@MalevolentMask; ups, you can't take #63. It's neighboring tile with your own tile, and that's against the rules. Pick some other...

@Irenaart, Cool, thanks!

Before I get started I had a quick question. So I see in previous collabs you guys have extended out borders and just wanted to make sure, the area that I black outlined is space I can use right? As long as it uses transparency?

@MalevolentMask; yes, you got it... Actually, it will look even better if you extend a tile (but only up) even more. Be sure to make for your next neighbor nice, higher border. It's not necessary, but it's preferably.

Some starter sketches of few characters: Spock giving Vulcan salute, Kirk fighting monsters including Gorn, and Mccoy giving some medical help to a wounded astronaut. Now I have a problem to do outlines or not to do them. Upper tile with an astronaut has outlines but the lower tile with the lizard monster doesn't. Just for try I've added outline to Spock. Is there a good solution?

Normally you just do your own sytle, but I can safely say your outlined spock looks better than non-outlined.

I think I can consider this finally done lol. I had an idea where a big instant martian is peeking out of a giant hill hole thingy and keeping lookout for Marvin. I also removed one of the floating rocks in the background because it made the instant martians head not read well.

Thank you for help. I will go for outlines and maybe I will find a way to make them more gentle, to fit inbetween. How much time do I have to show next update? I will not be able to pixel until tuesday.

Wow. I was not here for few days and so many beautiful tiles has been made. Please tell me how you find my update. Any suggestions of fixes would be much appreciated. I was also thinking about adding  one more monster head more in the top, or even a monster head eating a red shirt character :) But it may be too crowdy. What about leaving some space?

May I ask for tile 2? I just had a cool idea to make something involving Freelancer, I think it's perfect for this collab considering it's a space sim. I could draw one of the ships, though I'll have to re-check their scale compared to human characters lol

@gawrone; going all fine, and yes, I'd love a dead red shirt on the top, perhaps with an unseen murderer (left for the neighbor to resolve).

@eggy; sure but remember, border tiles are WAY larger and take much more time and effort to complete than inner tiles.  Also I love Freelancer game and it had small ships too, remember it's perfectly ok to leave a part of the ship to your neighbor to complete.

@Gecimen is that alright?

If this goes like this, tile #28 is open for Spock interaction, red insectoid monster head will have to be continued in #12 and the trail of blood from the red shirt missing head can go into or through #12 or #5

Exactly! Giving such clues to neighbors turns out great interactions.

@Gecimen; I'd have to think about it. But I'm always ready for a mini-collab if you have some larger concept/theme on your mind.

I have couple of ideas for classic SF refference collabs, that could fit well this theme.

The first is sandworm from Dune. I have no idea if the red, tan or yellow desert will be best for it so the placement is very optional. I think that minimal 3 tiles are needed. 1) for the worm body coming out of a gigantic hole in the sand, 2) for Paul Muad'dib mounting it, and 3) for opened mouth. But of course it could be extended and go through more tiles that could interact with it in many ways including other universes. I don't know, some aliens performing experiments on it, or building house structures on it or inside of it, or just simply arracting it somewhere in the middle?

Second one is original Panet of the Apes refference to a partially burried and corrupted Statue of Liberty and two characters on a horse. It probably would look best on the edge of the entire picture, or just near water, on the beach?

I also think that we could have some classic Alien or Aliens refference. At least a xenomorph or some alien eggs?

@Gecimen; I think it'd be a welcome challenge I did once complete an outer tile back when we were doing the ISOtopes collab, and I think it's in my power to do it again haha.

Here's the beginning of... something. Extremely early stage, I'll try to work out the terrain first before worrying about other objects (may plop in some placeholder clusters that I'll refine into characters and the like). The yellow crystal was easy peazy to continue, the blue stone things I'll have to play around with some more because right now they don't seem to be blending in with the existing ones perfectly.
EDIT: Also I just noticed I am not listed under tile 2 lol
